‘How to’? Find the Right Plant for the Right Place – Hot & Dry

Plants in this category enjoy a warm, bright spot, for example, a south-facing windowsill. They can tolerate some direct sunlight. Generally, these plants prefer the soil to completely dry out before watering.

  • Aloe Vera – The juice from these leaves can be used to relieve pain from scrapes and burns.
  • Cacti – Slow growing and easy to grow, everyone can look after a cactus!
  • Sansevieria (Snake Plant) – One of the most tolerant houseplants, an excellent choice for any home or office.
  • Crassula (Money Plant) – Easy to care for and very popular, known for its longevity.
  • Succulents – Look stunning as a collection along the windowsill.
  • Dracaena (Dragon Tree) – This plant brings wow into your home.
  • Opuntia (Prickly Pear) – Flowering cactus for instant impact.
  • Euphorbia – A fast-growing succulent, very easy to care for.

Top tip – cacti & succulents store moisture, meaning they need infrequent watering. Soak the soil through and then leave it to dry out completely.
