Our opening hours are 8.30am-5pm  Monday to Saturday, Sunday 10am-4pm, 9.30am for browsing.

Coffee Shop & Restaurant

What are the opening hours?

Our Coffee Shop is open 9am-4.30pm (9.30am-3.30pm on Sundays). Breakfast is served until 11.30am.

All menus can be viewed on our website at www.perrywood.co.uk/dining. We cater for all dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free.

 

Afternoon Tea

Afternoon teas are available in our Restaurant.

Our afternoon teas are served from Monday to Friday (from 2pm), excluding bank holidays. You are welcome to come in when suits you after 2pm – no booking required!

Simply visit our main counter and our team will be on hand to seat and assist you.

Greenhouse Café

Our Café is located in our Bedding Plant Greenhouse. Open 10am-3pm every day, you can purchase baguettes, cakes and scones, as well as hot and cold drinks. Please note we take card payments only.

What about your Coffee Shop in Sudbury?

Our Coffee Shop at Sudbury is open for dining, the opening times are the same as at Tiptree. We operate a counter service so there is no need to book in advance.

Can I book a table in the Coffee Shop & Restaurant?

Please note we do not take table bookings.

Do you have customer toilets?

Yes, we have customer toilets located near to our Coffee Shop & Restaurant.

What payment methods can I use?

We accept cash and card at our main shop tills and in our Coffee Shop & Restaurant. Please note our Compost Drive-Thru & Greenhouse Café is card payment only and cannot accept cash.

Contactless payment has a £100 limit. Apple Pay and Android pay have £200 limits.

We accept gift vouchers – both Perrywood and National Garden Gift Tokens.

Do you allow coaches to visit?

We do not take coach bookings at Perrywood Tiptree or Perrywood Sudbury. Please do not turn up unannounced. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate you in the car park or the Coffee Shop & Restaurant.

Are you able to help carry items to my car?

Yes, please ask when you are at the tills paying for your items and one of our Garden Centre Assistants will be called through to help take heavy items to your car.

How does the drive through compost work?

Compost is sold from the car park, no need to get out of your car. Please follow the signs to the compost pick up area and pay there. The compost will be loaded straight into your car. Please see our news page for the full information.

We also have a full catalogue of compost we sell.

Our Compost Drive-Thru takes card payments only – sorry no cash.

Am I able to bring back unwanted or faulty goods?

Yes, exchanges or refunds can be processed at the tills.

Do you offer a delivery service?

We operate our delivery service for bulky items such as garden furniture.

Please refer to our Delivery Map for delivery zones and prices.

Do you guarantee plants purchased from Perrywood?

Yes we have a Perrywood Hardy Plant Guarantee, we guarantee the free replacement, or credit, of any container-grown, hardy plant that dies, providing it has received reasonable care, bears our garden centre labelling and is presented for examination with proof of purchase within one year. We cannot guarantee against damage due to severe weather conditions.

Is the site accessible for the disabled, or infirm?

Yes. The site is very accessible, with wheelchairs on loan for use on flat wide paths – you can find them at our main entrance.

Do you allow dogs on site?

We do not allow dogs, with the exception of service/assistance dogs.

Do you sell and redeem gift vouchers?

Yes, we sell and redeem our own Perrywood Gift Cards as well as the HTA Gift Cards.

What don't you sell?

Here are some products we have been asked for recently that we don’t sell; hot tubs, sheds & fencing, railway sleepers, children’s garden play equipment (e.g. swings, trampolines) or play houses.

Do you ask permission if a photo of me is used for Perrywood marketing?

If we intend to use a photo we always ask our customers to fill in our photo consent form to confirm they are happy for their image to be used for marketing purposes. You may be asked in store or when booking an event with us.
