Bring your little ones into Perrywood during National Children’s Gardening Week – 25th May – 2nd June (which also happens to be half-term!), and let them have fun finding the hidden National Children’s Gardening characters around our store.
All participants get a sticker and a chance to enter our prize draw to WIN a set of Kent & Stowe children’s tools! These fantastic tools are perfect for inspiring young gardeners and encouraging children into the garden! They are compact and light but combine the strength and practicality of stainless steel with beautiful ash handles. (Prize includes digging spade, garden rake, hand fork and hand trowel).
We will also be offering children the chance to plant a pea seed in our fantastic ‘Plantpak’ fibre pots, made from biodegradable wood pulp. These pots can be planted directly into the ground or into a larger pot, no plastic required! This is a great way of teaching children about being environmentally aware and they will have fun nurturing their seedling as it grows into a tall pea plant!
National Children’s Gardening Week is a national campaign that runs annually throughout the country and aims get children and their families excited about gardening. It supports the amazing Greenfingers charity, which is dedicated to providing magical gardens for children in hospices suffering from life limiting illnesses.
