Having received confirmation from the Government we are really pleased that we can reopen our doors to you on Wednesday 13th at 8.30am. Our opening hours will stay the same for now, but we will review this regularly. In order to keep our team and customers safe we have been working on a number of changes; please read them through before you visit:
Please note that if you are asked to queue to get in this queue will be outdoors, so please dress appropriately in wet weather. By advising we are not admitting under 16s we hope to reduce numbers, and discourage larger family groups but there may be some exceptions when we are not busy. The drop off zone and disabled spaces in the top car park near the entrance are currently not in use. Compost can be bought from inside the garden centre if you lift it yourself into a trolley. If you need assistance or are buying in bulk we ask that you pay and pick it up in our car park, without leaving your car.
The team is still busy preparing the garden centre for you. Later in the week we will be sharing photos and videos of the new systems, so you can see what to expect. All departments (except the Coffee Shop) will be open, and we currently have good levels of stock available.
If you would like to ask if we sell something specific please email email@example.com and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Please be patient if you are trying to contact us, as we have a smaller office team than normal in order to keep them 2m apart.
A note on face-coverings
The systems we have implemented allow customers to maintain 2m distance from team members and other customers at all times, provided systems are followed. Therefore, we will not be asking you to wear face-coverings when you shop at Perrywood. Our team will only be required to wear face-coverings if they are required to do a job where it is not possible to maintain a 2m distance from a colleague. Generally, this will not be the necessary. Of course anyone, customers or team, are welcome to do so if they wish.
Bringing back unwanted or faulty goods
At the moment we ask that you hang onto unwanted or faulty goods if you can, whilst we readjust to new ways of working. We will of course extend any warranties/guarantees as required. In time we will get a new system for bringing these back, which will allow us to process these efficiently and safely.
Whilst we focus on re-opening we will continue to pause our local delivery service, but will review this once we feel that we are able to manage it again. This will be dependent on many factors including whether we have spare team members to operate this service, as many of our team are unable to work as they are shielding or have caring responsibilities whilst schools and grandparents are unavailable.
