Thanks to the generosity of our customers, the Coffee Shop & Restaurant team donated an amazing £6,640 in 2019 to Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity. Instead of receiving tips, the team chose to give any donations to this fantastic charity.
In March, the team donated £1,000 to purchase a year’s supply of dominoes, playing cards, colouring pens, white boards and photo albums for dementia patients.
In June, the children’s ward purchased a games table (and other activity equipment to the value of £1,500) thanks to another donation.
From May to September, an incredible £2,600 was raised for two children’s cardiac recording machines.
Finally, in December, a fantastic £1,540 was raised for Christmas presents for patients in all departments.
All these donations were gratefully received by the patients and staff at Colchester Hospital.
Our Coffee Shop team will continue to collect and support Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity in 2020.
