We are celebrating our first birthday at Perrywood Sudbury this week! Since we took over the Newton Road site from Wyevale last September, there have been a number of very exciting changes…
* We have have created 13 more jobs and the store now employees 34 members of staff
* We have opened our new Coffee Shop which now serves home-cooked breakfasts, soups, hot lunches, freshly-made sandwiches, cakes and our famous scones!
* We have improved the range of bird care, gloves, tools, indoor and outdoor plants (including the Perrywood grown range) and pots
* We have added a few Perrywood touches to the store such as our ‘how to’ leaflets, houseplants at the front of the store as well as more stock
From Wednesday this week, we will be hosting a week of in-store promotions and offers (exclusive to Perrywood Sudbury) as well as social media competitions. There will be free tea or coffee with the purchase of any food in our Sudbury Coffee Shop on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th September.
Simon Bourne, Retail Director at Perrywood says “We are absolutely delighted to be celebrating our first year in Sudbury. The community has been so welcoming to us and has really supported us since we took over. We have some regular and very loyal customers so we hope to see as many as possible in store to help us celebrate.”
As a business, we are committed to supporting charities and the local community. Garden Centre Manager Steve and Plant Area Expert Jane recently took part in a sponsored skydive, raising £1035 for Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity, which was matched by Perrywood Sudbury. We have also donated hundreds of pounds worth of gift vouchers, plants and products to local schools, charities and community groups – such as Sudbury in Bloom.
