We are delighted to have won an award for Corporate Partnership of the Year by the Chartered Institute of Fundraising East Anglia for our fundraising work with Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity.
For the last two years (until December 2020), Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity was one of our nominated ‘charities of the year’ and during that time, thanks to the support of our customers and team, we raised over £20,000 for the charity. The team were involved in running, walking and biking challenges and (pre-Covid) we held various charity events in-store. In addition to this, the Coffee Shop & Restaurant team kindly donated all their tips to Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity.
In the last two years, Perrywood Tiptree has:
– donated a substantial sum of money to the Collingwood Cancer Centre
-delivered and donated hundreds of houseplants to the offices at Colchester Hospital
-completed a garden makeover for the Children’s department
With money raised from their tips, the Coffee Shop & Restaurant team has:
-donated 154 fans to the wards
-delivered presents to patients on the wards at Christmas
-purchased two children’s cardiac recording machines
-donated a games table and other play equipment to the Children’s Department
-supplied a year’s worth of dementia activity boxes
The Coffee Shop & Restaurant team continue to support the charity this year and are now raising money for some LED ceiling tiles for the Collingwood Cancer Centre.
Our mission is to give our local community a reason to smile and we hope that with all these donations, we have fulfilled it!
