Our Marie Curie tea party was a ‘blooming great’ success!

Our Marie Curie Blooming Great Tea Party held in the Coffee Shop last Thursday afternoon was a ‘blooming great’ success! £1,498 was raised for Marie Curie from ticket sales, raffle tickets and knitted daffodils donated by Sue Gould and Essex Knitters and Stitchers.

Seventy customers enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea of freshly-made sandwiches, scones and cakes served by the Perrywood team.

Customers and staff were entertained by the wonderful Rococo acapella quartet with their wide repertoire of songs.

Thank you to all our customers who supported the event and helped raise such a fantastic sum of money for Marie Curie. Thanks also to the staff involved in the smooth running of this event – the Coffee Shop team (including the chefs), the staff from the shop, plant area and nursery (Sharon, Julia, Sam, Cerys and Daniel) who volunteered to help, the fabulous team from Marie Curie (Val, Monica and Biyanca) and the delightful acapella singers, Rococco.

Thanks also to the following suppliers – Anglia Produce, Clough Eggs, Little Fish Shop (Kelvedon) and Fairfield Farm Crisps – who donated prizes for the raffle that raised £241.

Our next charity event is the Mid and North East Essex quiz night in our Coffee Shop on Thursday 20th September. Tickets are £10 per person (max 6 per team), with a free cheese board for every team. We promise you a fun-filled evening! To book tickets, please visit www.perrywood.co.uk/tickets
