Hannah’s Chelsea Highlights – The Floral Marquee

Our Communications & HR Director, Hannah, visited the RHS Chelsea Flower Show on Tuesday. The floral marquee showcases some of the world’s finest growers and nurseries, via their impressive displays.

Here are Hannah’s floral marquee highlights:

“There were mounds of alstroemeria, with a carnival vibe in the floral marquee. This is such a great value plant that flowers for months in the borders. I regularly raid my Mum and Dad’s garden when I am flower arranging. I really should grow my own!”

“The mix of flowers and edibles in the Marshalls ‘Food For Thought’ garden was joyful and inspiring. They were showcasing how delicious produce can be grown in a beautiful, small space alongside flowers.”

“The displays from the British Iris Society were spectacular – It’s their centenary (100th anniversary) and they showed the beauty of these perennial plants, in all their guises. I loved the pallete and ‘picture’. Irises are one of those flowers which immediately make me want to pick up a paintbrush, it’s amazing how many different delicate colours you can find in just one variety.”

“The floristry displays were playful and imaginative – how amazing are these displays below!”
