Caring for your garden furniture

These days garden furniture comes in all sorts of materials. Many are designed to be low maintenance and you can simply wipe them with a damp cloth.

If, however, you choose to go for a more traditional wooden item you need to think about how you want to treat it, and it can be hard to know which wood treatment products to buy. This image shows you some different treatments on a Mahogany bench (left to right)

  • Natural – Mahogany left untreated will mellow to a silvery grey colour
  • Cuprinol Teak Oil
  • Alexander Rose Timber Treatment and sealer
  • Alexander Rose Protector

Once you know the colour you want your bench to have you can buy a treatment product to suit, or simply leave untreated for a more natural look.
