This week, the Perrywood Tiptree Coffee Shop & Restaurant team presented the Cardio-Respiratory department at Colchester Hospital with a cheque for £2,600 to purchase two children’s heart monitors – it was very gratefully received.
Thanks to the generosity of our customers, the Coffee Shop & Restaurant team has now donated a fantastic £5,100 this year to Colchester Hospital via the Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity. Instead of receiving tips, the team has chosen to give any donations to charity.
In March, the team donated £1,000 to purchase a year’s supply of dominoes, playing cards, colouring pens, white boards and photo albums for dementia patients.
In June, the children’s ward purchased this games table (and other activity equipment to the value of £1500) thanks to another donation.
They are now raising money for Christmas presents to give to the patients in December.
