Changes we’ve made to keep you (and our team) safe

We are pleased to say the measures we have implemented to keep our customers and team safe and social distanced are working really well. A lot of preparation and hard work has gone into getting ready to reopen and enable you to feel as comfortable and at ease as is possible – from the moment you arrive right through to when you leave.

Please make sure you read our FAQs either before you visit or at the entrance and we hope you have a comfortable visit.

Here are some of the changes we have made:

Compost, sand, grit, stone, turf and gas bottles (subject to stock availability) can be purchased from the car park, via our Drive-Thru service. Please head into the car park and follow the signs. More information on our Compost Drive Thru and stock availability.

In line with government guidance, you must wear a face covering in the Garden Centre (both inside & outdoors), unless you have an exemption. We are also asking that you wear one until seated in the Coffee Shop & Restaurant. Please note, wearing a face covering is not a replacement for other social distancing measures, which we have put in place for your safety.

For those going into the garden centre you will need to take a trolley from the lower car park and use the sanitising equipment that is available. The entrance and exit have been clearly segregated and signposted.

At the entrance we have clear signs to keep everyone 2 metres apart as they arrive and a team member safely stood back count customers in and out, so that we can limit numbers when needed.

We ask you to use our hand-sanitiser as you enter.

There is a one-way system clearly marked out with floor stickers to make it easier to stay socially distanced.

Once inside you are able to help yourself to most products and plants as normal, we just ask you not to touch items that you don’t intend to buy.

In most departments, there is plenty of room to move around and feel safely distanced from others. Some areas such as our Bedding Plant Greenhouse may be more closely controlled during busy periods.

Once you have the items you need, you will take your place in the single queue for the tills following the floor stickers to keep people 2 metres apart. All tills have a perspex safety screen and we ask that you pay card (preferably contactless), Apple or Android Pay, or gift voucher only. You will push your trolley into the scanning zone then step back whilst your items are scanned.

Please make sure you read our FAQs either before you visit or at the entrance and we hope you have a comfortable visit.
