Alfresco entertaining while social distancing

Our gardens (or other outdoor areas) have become our new socialising spaces. At last some of us are able to meet up with friends and family as long as we stay socially distanced and are mindful of keeping safe.

Here are few top tips on how to stay safe and comfortable in the garden.

Keep warm as the evening cools down with outdoor heating and/or blankets and a parasol can keep you sheltered if there’s light rain.

If you are feeding your guests have everything prepared beforehand. For hot food, cook on the barbecue so that you don’t need to have to keep going back indoors risking contamination and you can spend more valuable time with your guests.

Consider how you are going to seat everyone 2 metres apart – your garden furniture is unlikely to seat 6 people. Provide a separate seating area for another family or a bench with a buffet style dinner eliminating the need for a table if necessary, make them more comfortable with some cushions. View our full furniture brochure

Extend your entertaining into the evening with solar lighting and lanterns to create a cosy ambience. Read our ‘How to?’ on using Solar Lighting
