Over £17,500 raised for charities in 2023!

We are delighted to have donated £17,500 to charities in 2023! As always we are really pleased to have raised this sum and thank all our customers and team for their ongoing support.

This grand total includes the following donations from both Tiptree and Sudbury:

£10,422 for Hope for Tomorrow to help purchase and maintain mobile cancer care units that offer treatment. Supported by Tiptree and Sudbury.

£1,716 for Abberton Rural Training to assist and inspire people in Essex and surrounding areas to get out in the garden and grow their own and to give practical support and therapy through courses. We also gave £2,500 to spend on plants and gardening equipment at our garden centres. Supported by Tiptree.

£3,000 for The Red Rose Community Farm (The Befriending Scheme) to help provide a therapeutic environment for those with learning disabilities, people suffering from ill mental health, and vulnerable children and families. We also gave £2,500 to spend on plants and gardening equipment at our garden centres. Supported by Sudbury.

£2,513 for Greenfingers Charity to create magical gardens for children (and their families) in hospices. Supported by Tiptree and Sudbury.

Another £5,900 of plant donations and raffle prize vouchers to local schools and charities.

Instead of receiving tips in 2023, the Tiptree Coffee Shop & Restaurant team chose to collect money for Hope for Tomorrow. Thanks to the generous donations of our customers, the team raised £4,600.  The money will be put towards purchasing a new fridge and chemotherapy chairs for the mobile cancer unit.

Perrywood sponsored and some of the team took part in the 5/10km ‘Walk of Hope’ that was held in Sudbury.

£1,400 was raised at Tiptree’s charity afternoon tea party held in the Coffee Shop & Restaurant.

In March, Tiptree held a charity quiz night which raised £1,500 for Greenfingers Charity.

In November, some of the Sudbury team took part in a ‘Danceathon’ which raised £1,000 for Hope for Tomorrow.

In December, team members wore their Christmas jumpers to raise money for Greenfingers Charity.

Also in December, for our Christmas cheer campaign, the team delivered planted containers to volunteers at Abberton Rural Training, The Tiptree Hub and The Red Rose Community Farm.

These are just some of the activities in 2023 that contributed to raising and donating the grand total of £17,500.

In 2024, we will continue to support Abberton Rural Training, Hope for Tomorrow, The Red Rose Community Farm and Greenfingers Charity.
